It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday. The company received a $35 million commitment in new financing from certain existing lenders, subject to court approval. Express also received $49 million from the IRS on April 15 from the pandemic-era CARES Act, according to USA TODAY.

The company has filed for bankruptcy, and will be closing around 95 Express stores and all of its UpWest stores.

The closures of the two Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.-based grocery retailers include 33 Foxtrot locations and two Dom’s Kitchen & Market locations spread across the cities of Chicago; Austin, Texas; Dallas, Texas; and Washington, D.C. Foxtrot also maintained a nationwide e-commerce presence, which will similarly cease to exist.

In Wisconsin, there are seven Express stores. They're in the Mayfair mall in Wauwatosa, the Bayshore Town Center in Glendale, the Brookfield Center in Brookfield, the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute, Bay Park Square in Ashwaubenon and the East Towne Mall and West Towne Mall in Madison.
