Residents in east Las Vegas see more violent crime than most parts of the valley which had Clark County planning to put a new Las Vegas Metropolitan police substation there for years. The plan would help to bridge the gap between the Northeast Area Command and the Southeast Area Command.

A Bureau of Land Management proposal would place a Metropolitan Police Department substation on about 7 acres of public land in the northeast valley.

North Las Vegas police are searching for a missing endangered man last seen six days ago, police said. Luis Cutie, 30, of North Las Vegas was last seen on Tuesday, April 23 around 7:30 p.m. at his home near North 5th Street and Tropical Parkway.
