Mercedes has revealed its latest addition to the EV market with the EQG – an electric version of the firm’s iconic G-Class. The electric version will come with a 116kWh lithium-ion battery pack and will give a claimed range of 294 miles on a single charge.

The G-Class offers stellar horsepower and performance but the first version will not have the revolutionary silicon battery the brand promised would be in the G-Wagen by 'mid-decade.'

Mercedes-Benz announced that it was going to release an electric G-Class by the end of 2024. Now, the automaker has formally introduced the electrified version of its iconic luxury vehicle that's known for its exclusivity.
