The San Francisco 49ers and quarterback Brock Purdy reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $265 million, per Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. The deal includes $181 million guaranteed, and makes Purdy the seventh highest-paid quarterback in the NFL on a per-year basis.
The San Francisco 49ers are "very close" to reaching an extension agreement with star linebacker Fred Warner, according to Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area.
After inking quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle to lucrative extensions throughout May, they added linebacker Fred Warner to that list on Monday.
On Monday, George Kittle reposted a 49ers announcement that mentioned Brent Jones would be inducted into the 49ers Hall of Fame, becoming the 33rd inductee to earn the prestigious honor. Kittle showed support for Jones, who was once one of the 49ers' most talented athletes.
