I thought a Switch 2 pre-order directly from Nintendo would be the best way to get a console, but I think it was a mistake to ignore my other options.

Nintendo fans, rejoice. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle is finally up for pre-order in Singapore, going for SG$769. It’s the first time we’ve seen this bundle actually up for pre-order in the country.

Towards the bottom of the page, you can register your interest in pre-ordering a console. You must log in with your Nintendo account and select whether you want to pre-order the Mario Kart bundle or just the console (you can't change your mind once you've locked in).
