Perfect blender for an excellent price
This is my second Oster hand blender purchase. I biught one for my mom after she used mine. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I use it for smoothies and shakes, and it crushes ice also. I may never use a regular blender again! Read review on www.amazon.com

Better than a Cuisinart CSB-76
I don't see why this product is getting so many bad reviews. I've owned one for over five years that finally wore out after three or more times use per week. I have had two of these in the past 10 years. The first one lasted about 7 years and then died. But seriously--for $20 it did a great job. Love using it for soups, salad dressings, and smoothies. The motor is more noisy than the Braun and GE immersion blenders, and it gives a sad little whine as it starts up and winds down, so I think there is a problem with the interface between the motor portion and detatchable blender portion. This is a well designed product which fits comfortablly in your hand. The power is outstanding and whips up malts and shakes in seconds. The detatchable drive shaft is very convienent for washing.
