As some other reviews have mentioned, labeling this as a 500 watt unit is a bit inaccurate, as the US version is really only 320 watts. The Dualit is a great blender. Easy to hold, has an adjustable speed control and turbo button to control pulsing. Blends faster and smoother than a Braun I had that was hard to clean, less powerful, and stopped working. The lower part of the Dualit detaches easily and can go in the dishwasher.... Caution: Can not adequately clean.
