Rating: 5.0 out of 5Works for the Roadmate

I'm always skeptical with buying any electronic that isn't name brand but this one is a perfect replacement for the Magellan Roadmate 2036. Very satisfied. Read review on www.amazon.com

Rating: 5.0 out of 5Love this gps!

I've had the opportunity to use a Tom Tom and this Magellan Roadmate and by far, the Magellan Roadmate 2036 is my favorite of the two. I keep a road atlas as a backup, but this Magellan took me on a 2000+ mile driving trip to different areas of the country and I didn't need my atlas or any road... Read review on www.amazon.com

Rating: 5.0 out of 5Packed with features you will use !

Pros: Screen / Live Traffic Updates/ WAAS

Cons: Battery life outside of vehicle

I have always used magellan GPS. Bought the first one because its what Hertz rental uses as never lost. I decided to upgrade my 6 year old one, which by the way still works. This unit is great. I go to pocono mountains a lot and use it -- never loses a signal up in mountains. Live traffic is a... Read review on reviews.bestbuy.com

It is worth the money ($80) but it is not as good as my old Magellan 1200T ($200 5 years ago). Both of these units were as inexpensive as I could get at the time. (Magellan, Garmin, Tom-Tom) Do all the current Magellan products use the same basic software? (I would like to know) Here is my view of... Read review on www.amazon.com

Bought this GPS Unit @ costco for 89.99 in Nov 2010. Have been using this unit for over a month & like this product over the GARMIN 1490T that I have bought and used for a month. The best part is this unit comes with all the accessories including the window mount while the Garmin even though it had... Read review on www.amazon.com

Rating: 5.0 out of 5The Best GPS out there!

Pros: Everything!

Cons: None

This GPS is great. It works right out of the box. You type in your address or search for a Point of Interest and in seconds you are on route. Plus if you have AAA you have a free extended warranty for an extra year. This GPS is so easy to use. And if it's on sale get it cause I hesitated at first... Read review on www.buzzillions.com

My first GPS (Garmin 255wt) was stolen, so there went $170 and a window. Then I went to Garmin 765, which was ok, but I didn't like what I paid for Bluetooth that didn't work well. Then I went to a Garmin 1250, which was basic, but somewhat slow and worthless. In March I fell for the Motonav, which... Read review on www.amazon.com

"This Magellan is really great! The voice is loud, clear and repeats instructions. And if you're turning but will have to turn again in a short distance then she will say 'turn left but then stay right for the next right turn.' "I am a techie who had never used a GPS. I have had two issues with the 2036 so far. The first issue was entirely my fault as I did not read how to correctly install the auto charger power cord into the unit. It dosent have any really stand out features. Rating: 2.0 out of 5Unit Ok, but directions are awful

If you want to get to anywhere, allow at least 20 extra minutes for the trip, because this Magellan GPS will not get you there on first try. House numbers are everytime on a wrong side of the street, and you will get also tired of "make a legal U-turn" phrase. Today, I exchanged it for Garmin. Read review on www.amazon.com
