Adopt This Pet: Duncan
Thank you for clicking on Adopt This Pet. WMUR would like to introduce you to a beautiful Greyhound, who used to race under the name T's Greycliff. Now retired from racing, and currently living at the New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham, this doggie is looking for a new home. Duncan is a wonderful, graceful, four and a half years old male. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. It is very apparent when Duncan is happy to see you, because he has "helicopter tail"! This common greyhound trait is characterized by circular tail-wagging which means "let's play"! Duncan loves squeaky toys, car rides, and walks. He will be great with other large dogs, but not so great with cats. He is a large breed, and that is why it might not be a good idea for him to go to a home with young children. Just like any new dog, Duncan will need some time to get used to a new home, and family, so if you want to adopt him you will have to be patient, for he will need a little time to get used to affection. The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a community resource center bringing animals and people together. Programs offered include low cost spay/neuter for cats, rabies and microchip clinics, behavior and training classes and humane education opportunities for both children and adults. The NHSPCA is the only shelter in New Hampshire contending in the ASPCA’s Challenge “To Save More Lives”, and their goal is to save at least 1,000 more animals this year than last year. The contest period is August 1st through October 31st, and they need your help to win $100,000 from the ASPCA! Learn more by visiting www.nhspca.org Or call: 603-772-2921
