Adopt This Pet: Kona
Thank you for clicking on Adopt This Pet! This week WMUR, and the New Hampshire SPCA would like to introduce you to Kona! Kona is a 4-years old Labrador/Sharpei mix, and is a strong, active dog and super smart! He was surrendered because his family had no time for him. He would be best as the only pet in his new home. Kona is an independent guy with lots of smarts. He already knows several commands and shows a willingness to learn more! Kona has been through the NH SPCA’s Shelter Stars program which provides additional training to long-term shelter residents, in order to help them find their forever home. Kona is one of the staff’s favorite dogs. Kona used to pull on his leash a bit, but now he knows that pulling isn’t a great idea. As a bonus he learned, sit, down, paw, wait and a few other great tricks. The shelter recommends continued training for Kona, partially because it will help solidify his good manners, but also because he loves it! The home that would be best for Kona would be an active adult home with him as their only pet. He likes long walks and loves treats! Like all of the animals at the NHSPCA, Kona is up to date on all of his shots, is microchipped, and neutered. He is looking for his new forever home with someone to love! Learn more about Kona, and the other animals available for adoption by visiting www.nhspca.org Or call: 603-772-2921
