America helping Americans
In the last year, America’s faith and resiliency have been severely tested by disasters in all corners of our country, most recently in Arizona. But in moments of despair, there have been those who extended a helping hand. On this 4th of July, we acknowledge Americans who reached out to their stricken countrymen. Such was the case in Moore, Oklahoma, after a May 20th tornado took 24-lives, injured hundreds, damaged 24-hundred homes. Seven young lives were taken at Plaza Towers Elementary School. Among them, eight-year old Sydney Angle. Through the sorrow in the days that followed, baseball and softball brought a measure of healing.
