July 27: No way: An experienced base jumper is lucky to be alive after a jump off a cliff in Colorado. Ted Davenport tried a complicated maneuver, but something went wrong and his parachute didn’t open until seconds before he hit the ground. Davenport bruised his lungs and ribs but is okay and says he will jump again.
