Plattsburgh Library Faces Budget Shortfall
A $150,000 budget shortfall at the Plattsburgh Library could spell a cutback in hours and employees. The board voted to cut four full time staffers. The library has already slashed spending but costs are on the raise. The board voted to eliminate two librarians, one assistant librarian and one clerk. But City Councilor Tim Carpenter says the positions could be reinstated if the library makes up the shortfall.
