Abbotsford vet Ken Macquisten and Elizabeth Melnick are caring for a rare sandhill crane at Elizabeth's Wildlife Center after it had to have its leg amputated because it was struck by a golf ball at a course in Richmond. The crane, which is recovering nicely, is also being fitted for a prosthetic leg so he can get around.
