Skiing Stowe Mountain
Skiing Stowe Mountain Resort--one of the greatest in the East!
Part 3 of 4: Stowe Mountain Lodge Series
Stowe Mountain Resort is my favorite ski area in the Northeast. I know that's a bold statement and no, I haven't skied at all of them, but I grew up in VT and spent almost every winter day on the slopes in Vermont and the nearby resorts. I love Stowe Mountains natural feel, challenging trails and it's attention to comfort. You can spend the whole day on the gondola trail and have all your skiing needs taken care of. Plus, the Stowe Mountain Lodge is accessibly via gondola for a relaxing, apres ski beer by the fire.
And you can't not factor in just how cute the town of Stowe is--with it's cafes, restaurants, bars and charming town center, Stowe is the picturesque winter destination. Trust me, I always took my out of state friends there and they fell in love with it! About the Show: Get Lost in Vermont: Stowe series
You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl! I am a Vermont native so it was a treat to return to one of my favorite towns in the state to enjoy some skiing, wining & dining and fresh air at the Stowe Mountain Lodge this winter.
The Lodge is internationally known for it's excellence in service and highest quality. After spending a weekend there I have to agree.
A highlight for me was the cozy fireplace lounges throughout the hotel AND in the rooms. Plus the dinner at Solstice was unforgettable and the ski valet service made it SO easy to get on the slopes!
