Young Baseball Fan Gives Foul Ball Back to Crying Little Kid Giants-Diamondbacks game || San Fransisco, in which a youngster's epic pout after missing out on a foul ball resulted in the San Francisco Giants broadcasters sending him over a replacement souvenir. TV cameras captured an amazing exchange between young fans at the Giants-Diamondbacks game in Phoenix on Sunday. It all starts innocently enough, when Diamondbacks outfielder Gerardo Parra tosses a foul ball into the crowd. A tall kid with a glove reaches out and snatches the ball before a younger kid can grab it. When they get back to their seats, the younger kid is very, very sad. The sad kid will someday learn that foul balls are never guaranteed at baseball games, and that life pretty much stinks and there's always a taller kid to snatch the ball away. But it's the eighth inning and he's tired and he just wants to be sad right now, OK? But wait a second, sad kid. People hate seeing sad kids be sad, and one fan — a young Giants fan, no less — decides to cheer the sad kid up with a different baseball. And this baseball is very shiny. The sad kid still seems pretty sad, but that's not the point of charity. The point of charity also is not to be recognized for doing it, but since this Giants-fan kid is obviously a decent dude, the D-Backs broadcast team sends him another baseball and a hearty high-five. Now everyone has a baseball, and everyone is happy. Everyone, of course, except the sad fan's sister, who can probably expect a ball of her own soon if she keeps carrying on.
