    The Advanced Combat Helmet was developed and tested by Army Special Operations Command to replace the Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops, or PASGT, helmet. Various U.S. military units and services began fielding the ACH 2003.
    Provides the Soldier improved ballistic protection, stability and comfort without degrading vision or hearing. The Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) was type classified and has been in use since 2002. It replaced the Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops (PASGT) helmet. The ACH is lighter than the PASGT.
    Advanced Combat Helmet Level IIIA Standard Cut The Striker ACH™ (Advanced Combat Helmet) is our flagship ACH standard cut helmet. The ACH protects from level IIIA threats including frag and has been tested to NIJ Standard 0106.01.
    Development of these helmets began in 2003. United States Army Soldier Systems Center, U.S. Army Special Operations Command and U.S. Army Research Laboratory worked together to create this helmet. It is currently the standard issue helmet for all United States ground forces. The ACH helmet is made from Kevlar.
