Sara is totally happy. The young actress gained her first little role in a play by the playhouse-baron Gota Nishikono. Sara admires the leading actresses Aoi and Kaori who are practicing hard every day. But then a staff member is found dead and while the police is investigating the situation, Aoi falls from a balcony and is taken to hospital. Due to her injuries she won't be able to play the leading role. So, in a hurry, Gota gives the part to Sara who is almost overwhelmed. But Sara has got to learn very soon, that having the leading role is not to her advantage. Because she is recognizing slowly that somebody or something is trying to end the production at all cost!

AKBingo! (stylized in all caps) was a Japanese television variety show featuring Japanese idol girl group AKB48. The show aired weekly on Nippon Television. In each episode, members of AKB48 and occasionally their sister groups participate in activities that include quizzes, games, sports, and news. The show is the successor of two previous shows featuring AKB48 with very similar concepts, AKB 0ji 59fun and AKB 1ji 59fun. The concept of the show was reused for the Sakamichi Series groups with NogiBingo! for Nogizaka46, KeyaBingo! for Keyakizaka46 and HinaBingo! for Hinatazaka46, as well as STU48 with SetoBingo! and HKT48 with HKTBingo! in 2018, and SKE48 with SKEBingo! in 2019.

Anzu Natsuno is the leader of the triathlon team of her all-girl High School. One evening she hear a voice singing and following the voice, she finds her close friend Kana in a High School hall, and Kana commits suicide. Anzu, nor any other girl of the team can understand why Kana did it. The girls soon begin to investigate. At the same time, reporters of the independent magazine "Masaka" heard the rumour of an "infectious song" that will drive to suicide to anyone who dares to sing it. Reporters Riku Nagase and Taichi are assigned to the story, they go to Kana's funeral in order to know if this is just another "urban legend". There they meet Anzu, and Kana's childhood friend Shuri, member of the pop group "AKB48". At first Anzu doesn't want to talk to Riku and Taichi, but Shuri got interested and wanted to know what happened to her friend, so she joins the reporters. Both Anzu's triathlon team of girls, and "Masaka" magazine reporters, with the help of Shiru start to follow the leads to uncover the truth, while more suicides began.
