The album, released in digipack format, contains a CD with a selection of 10 tracks of the concert with one bonus track and a DVD with all 17 live performance. Sanz performed some of his old classic songs like "No Es Lo Mismo", "Corazón Partío" along with a medley and the entire Paraíso Express album except "Pero Esta Tarde No Te Vas" and "Tú No Tienes La Culpa". It also include a duet with Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina on Sanz's latest single, "Lola Soledad", as a bonus track.

It was released by WEA Latina on November 10, 2009, (see 2009 in music) and was produced by Tommy Torres, mixed by Bob Clearmountain, mastered by Ted Jensen. This album is the follow-up to the Grammy Award-winning albums No Es lo Mismo (2003) and El Tren de los Momentos (2006). All the tracks included were written by Sanz, along with several writers, a first for the singer, and also the first album without help by Emmanuele Rufinengo and Lulo Pérez, his longtime producing team. Paraíso Express received a nomination for an Album of the Year and won Best Male Pop Vocal Album at the 11th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. It is also won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2011.

This album reaffirmed the success obtained with his previous albums and made him popular in Europe and Latin America. The album was also recorded in Portuguese and Italian. All songs were written by Alejandro Sanz except "Quiero Morir en Tu Veneno". The official singles of the album were "La Fuerza del Corazón", "Mi Soledad y Yo", "¿Lo Ves?" and "Quiero Morir en Tu Veneno", and he shot a video for each single.

It was released by WEA Latina on August 20, 1991 (see 1991 in music). With this album he was announced to national level, all the tracks were composed by Sanz but were credited to A. Medina (Algazul Medina) pseudonymous that Sanz used initially in his career. The official singles of the album were "Los Dos Cogidos de la Mano" and "Pisando Fuerte", which were a boom in the musical Spanish panorama, other songs that received radio airplay were "Se Le Apagó la Luz" and "Lo Que Fui Es lo Que Soy".
