High & Dry was a short-lived 1987 British television sitcom made by Yorkshire Television and starring Bernard Cribbins, Richard Wilson, Angus Barnett and Vivienne Martin. It was written by Harold Snoad (under the pseudonym Alan Sherwood due to his contract to the BBC at the time) and Michael Knowles, and was the second television adaption of the radio series It Sticks Out Half a Mile (the first Walking the Planks).

In this spin-off from Softly, Softly, itself a spin-off from Z-Cars, Det Ch Supt Charlie Barlow is now working in Whitehall as part of the Police Research Services Branch, helping regional police forces to deal with more difficult cases. The series gave way to Barlow in 1974. Barlow would appear next in crime reconstruction drama series Second Verdict.

Sez Les is a British sketch comedy show that starred Les Dawson. It was produced by Yorkshire Television, and aired on ITV from 1969 to 1976. Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough (who was a cast member from series four onward) regularly performed together as the characters Cissie and Ada. After John Cleese left Monty Python's Flying Circus, he joined the Sez Les cast for series eight onward. Other cast members included Norman Chappell, Brian Glover, Brian Murphy, and Kathy Staff. Music was provided by Syd Lawrence and his orchestra.
