Another Country is a 1984 British historical romantic film. The film is based on the stage play written by Julian Michael with the same title. Two of the films stars are Rupert Everett and Colin Firth. The movie takes place in 1930's England at Eton, a male boarding school. The film explores subjects that are considered taboo and not popular in 1930's England. Guy Bennet and Tommy Judd, students attending Eton are best friends and outsider for their lifestyles. However, Bennet and Judd are not the only students living unpopular lifestyles. Fowler the movie antagonist has important evidence to stop Judd from becoming a "God", a title given to the two perfect students. Fowler plan works and cases Judd to be punished. Another Country is a movie that is filled with scandal, deceit, karma, trickery, and secrets. In the movie friendships will be tested and secrets will be revealed, showing what happens when your personal choices are not popular with your peers.
