Forever Cool is a compilation album of duets, featuring singer Dean Martin paired with various artists. It was released in 2007 (12 years after his death) through Capitol Records. Unlike several duet albums (for example, fellow Rat Pack singer Frank Sinatra's 1993 duets album), this posthumous one utilizes the archived voice tracks of Martin himself paired with contemporary singers and instrumentalists such as Kevin Spacey, Martina McBride, Shelby Lynne, Joss Stone, Chris Botti, and a few others.

Cannonball Run II is a comedy sequel about a second Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash. Sheik Abdul ben Falafel's father wants his son to win, which requires the race to be created for that year. The movie has racers dealing with the mob, another with military folks and someone with an ulcer. The movie stars Jamie Farr as Sheik Abdul ben Falafel, Burt Reynolds as JJ and Shirley MacLaine as Veronica. The movie is directed by Hal Needham, who worked with Burt Reynolds on several movies. The movie is considered the last Rat Pack movie, as it has Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Frank Sinatra. This would be the last movie for Dean Martin. Frank Sinatra would only appear in a TV movie and documentaries. Sammy Davis Jr would end his career six years later. Much like the modern films with an ensemble of major stars, Cannonball Run II was made to be a fun comedic romp. With the likes of Telly Savalas, Jim Nabors and Catherine Bach, the movie has multiple subplots.

After a few days, Peppard becomes attracted to Simmons, but he sees that the odds against them are too great, and is on the verge of leaving town. But, after Martin physically roughs up Simmons, Peppard organizes the few men in town who are willing to put up a fight, and attacks enterprises that are owned by Martin. Finally, in a showdown, Martin and Peppard battle it out, ironically in the same spot that Martin originally ambushed the stagecoach.
