Ray and Frenchy are a married couple who own a restaurant. Although the restaurant is really a front for a bank robbery they're trying to commit, it turns out that they're better bakers than crooks. When Frenchy's cookie business lands them on easy street, it looks like all their troubles are over until Frenchy decides she'd had it with small time crooks and decides to get a dose of culture. Woody Allen, who also directed the film, stars as Ray who can't quite leave his small time crooked ways behind him.
