Reddy is the eleventh studio album by Australian-American pop singer Helen Reddy that was released in 1979 by Capitol Records. The album was noted by Billboard magazine for what set it apart from its predecessors: "It's the three disco tracks on the first side of this album that will probably draw the most attention, but more interesting from the point of view of Reddy's artistic growth are covers of soul ballads by Gamble & Huff ('Sing My Heart Out') and Eugene Record ('Trying to Get to You') and rock material by the likes of The Doobie Brothers ('Minute by Minute')." That same review from the issue dated June 2 of that year also mentioned the exposure she received from The Helen Reddy Special, which had just aired on ABC on May 22, but, as with her previous two releases, Reddy did not reach Billboard's Top LP's & Tapes chart. It was also her last album to chart in Canada's RPM magazine when it peaked at number 97 there in August of that year.

Ear Candy is the ninth studio album by Australian-American pop singer Helen Reddy, released on May 1977 by Capitol Records. The album included a modern take on the doo-wop genre ("Long Distance Love"), a Cajun number that gave the Melbourne native her first and only appearance on Billboard magazine's Country chart ("Laissez les Bontemps Rouler"), and a dark self-parody on which Reddy proclaims: "I don't take no shit from nobody" ("Baby, I'm a Star" - not to be confused with the Prince song of the same name). Unprecedented for a Helen Reddy album, half of the songs recorded for Ear Candy were co-written by Reddy herself, including the second single: "The Happy Girls", Reddy's first self-penned A-side single since "I am Woman": however it was the first single: a remake of the 1964 Cilla Black hit "You're My World", which would afford Reddy a final Top 40 hit.

Top of the Pops, also known as TOTP, is a British music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1 January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The programme was shown every Thursday evening on BBC One, except for a short period on Fridays in mid-1973 before being again moved to Fridays at 7:30 pm in 1996 and then to Sundays on BBC Two in 2005. Each weekly programme consisted of performances from some of that week's best-selling popular music artists, with a rundown of that week's singles chart. Additionally, there was a special edition of the programme on Christmas Day (and usually, until 1984, a second such edition a few days after Christmas), featuring some of the best-selling singles of the year.
