Even though the movie “Yes, Virginia” takes place in 1897, it is a more update version of the story of Virginia O’Hanlon than other adaptations of this story. The movie was made in 2009 and was completely done in all computer-generated animation. The story of the real Virginia O’Hanlon is well-known as she was the girl who wrote to the “The Sun” newspaper asking if there really was a Santa Claus. She wrote to that particular newspaper because her father always told her that “If you see it in The Sun, it's so.” The paper’s editor, Francis Church, responded to her letter letting her know that yes there was a Santa Claus and that he lived on in all of us. The movie “Yes, Virginia” is an adaptation of Virginia’s history and is told in the form of animation. The movie was produced by Macy’s and their ad agency and it originally aired for the first time on CBS in 2009. In the plot of this adaptation, eight-year-old Virginia and her classmates begin doubting that Santa is real. She sets off to find out herself whether or not he is real. Throughout the movie she questions her father on the matter, a librarian and a street Santa. She then decides to write to “The Sun.” At first the editor Francis Church doesn’t respond because he feels that he doesn’t have the time to deal with little girls asking about Santa. However, he is eventually persuaded to come up with a response. “Yes, Virginia” clocks in at 22 minutes in length and is usually shown in a 30 minute time block on CBS during the Christmas season. The movie has many known actors lending their voices for the film. Neil Patrick Harris voices Virginia’s father, Dr. Philip O’Hanlon, Beatrice Miller as young Virginia O’Hanlon, Jennifer Love Hewitt as her mother, Laura and Alfred Molina as Francis Church.

Action movie star Tugg Speedman is on the downslide of his professional career. He wants to be considered a serious actor, but his latest serious role as the title character in "Simple Jack" resulted in negative reviews and ridicule. Comedian Jeff Portnoy is best known for his leading roles in sophomoric comedies, and may be less well known for his rampant drug use. Five time Oscar winner Kirk Lazarus is a serious method actor, who immerses himself in whatever the role. On location in southeast Vietnam, they are the stars of "Tropic Thunder", based on Vietnam war veteran 'Four Leaf' Tayback's memoirs of his rescue during the war, that rescue which was considered a near suicide mission for the assigned army force and resulted in him losing both hands. For his role, Caucasian Australian Lazarus even went through a controversial surgical skin dying procedure so that he could convincingly play a black man. Production is not going well since rookie director Damien Cockburn is unable to control the prima-donna attitude of his three stars. Cockburn and Tayback decide that the five primary actors - Speedman, Portnoy, Lazarus, rapper Alpa Chino, and newcomer Kevin Sandusky - need to work together as a unit as did their real life characters. The five are placed in the middle of the jungle, and with only a map and their prop machine guns in hand, are asked to work together to battle through the stunt pyrotechnics in their way. What none of the seven of them know is that they have been dropped into a real life drug war led by the Flaming Dragons. It isn't until Speedman is captured by the Flaming Dragons and tortured that they all realize that what they believed was make believe gunfire and land mines was actually real life. As the four actors try to figure out what to do concerning Speedman's situation, all five go through their own journey of self-discovery. Meanwhile, the movie's megalomaniacal profanity spewing producer Les Grossman and Speedman's faithful agent Rick Peck argue about what to do about Speedman's situation. And Tayback inadvertently shows a little of his true self.

Let's Go Bang is the second studio album by American actress and singer Jennifer Love Hewitt. It was released by Atlantic Records on September 12, 1995. It is also the first Hewitt album distributed by Atlantic. The producer, Angelo Montrone, had "noticed her talents" and brought her to the attention of then CEO of Atlantic Records, Doug Morris who then signed her. The album was received with enthusiasm by several program directors at pop radio, however, with the departure of Doug Morris from Atlantic in 1995 the plans for promotion were canceled which led to the album's commercial failure, failing to chart on the US Billboard 200.

The show premiered on NBC on October 11, 1975, under the original title NBC's Saturday Night. Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest, who usually delivers the opening monologue and performs in sketches with the cast as with featured performances by a musical guest. An episode normally begins with a cold open sketch that ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!", properly beginning the show.
