Classics is the ninth studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush. Having been classically trained as a singer years earlier, Jennifer Rush went back to her roots (her father was a tenor) and recorded a selection of her past hits with the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra. These were vast reworkings of the songs, where many had been originally uptempo pop tunes were now slow and dramatic works, such as "Ring of Ice" and "I Come Undone". As well as these, four new songs were included on the collection, including lead single "The End of a Journey". The album was released in several European countries, reaching No.34 in the German charts. This version of "Ring of Ice" was released a year later as a Promo-only single to coincide with her Classics tour. Rush undertook a tour with the Orchestra based on this album in 1999, which proved popular and appeared on several television shows with them, including on one occasion, in a duet with José Carreras.

Credo

Credo is the eighth studio album by American singer Jennifer …
Credo is the eighth studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush. Released in early 1997. By this time, Rush was no longer the chart star she had been a decade earlier and was content to discover new styles. On this album she worked with Gospel and African Choirs, who backed her on three of the tracks - including the title track and lead single with a promo video filmed in the Namib desert. The album did enter the charts in her most loyal market, Germany, where it reached No.26 and the single became a minor hit. This was followed by "Sweet Thing", one of the few uptempo songs on the album, while "Piano in the Dark" (a cover of the Brenda Russell song) was released as a Promo-only single after this. Eight of the eleven songs on the album are cover versions, with 2 original songs co-written by Rush. Further notable songs featured on the album are the cover versions of Cheap Trick's "The Flame" (1988) and "The Places You Find Love", originally recorded by Barbra Streisand in 1988 and then by Quincy Jones for his Back On the Block album in 1989, as well as a cover of John Farnham's 1987 Australian hit "A Touch of Paradise". Like her previous two albums, Credo went unreleased in the UK and US.

The album also improved on her previous one by reaching No.15 there during a four-month chart run. A second single was released, the title track "Out of My Hands", while the album boasted a collaboration with Brian May on the Queen cover "Who Wants to Live Forever" - which was released as a promo-only single. Also included on the album was a cover of the Moody Blues hit "Nights in White Satin".
