Three orphaned siblings are forced upon confirmed bachelor Donovan (Bill Bixby) in a nineteenth century boom town of Quake City, California. After an earthquake shakes the area, the children find a large gold nugget worth tens of thousands of dollars. But their newfound wealth is causing more problems than it's solving, so they agree to "give" the gold to two bumbling outlaws (Tim Conway and Don Knott's). But they only way they can get the gold is to steal it from the bank vault where it's being held for safe keeping.

Little House on the Prairie (known as Little House: A New Beginning in its final season) is an American western historical drama series, starring Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, and Melissa Sue Anderson, about a family living on a farm in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the 1870s, 1880s and 1890s. The show is an adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder's best-selling series of Little House books. Television producer and NBC executive Ed Friendly became aware of the story in the early 1970s. He asked Michael Landon to direct the pilot movie; Landon agreed on the condition that he could also play Charles Ingalls.

Eric Boles was an actor with a strong presence in film throughout his Hollywood career. Boles started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the Dick Van Dyke comedy Cold Turkey (1971), the John Considine horror flick Doctor Death: Seeker of Souls (1973) and The Way We Were (1973). Boles worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on Ark II (1976). His film career continued throughout the seventies and the eighties in productions like The Great Texas Dynamite Chase (1976) and the drama Hadley's Rebellion (1983) with Griffin O'Neal. He also starred in the TV movies Charleston (1979) and The Violation of Sarah McDavid (1981). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Live Shot" (UPN, 1995-96). He also was featured in the TV movies Dead Man's Revenge (1994) and Dead Air (1994). Boles most recently appeared in Arrested Development (2003).
