Their father takes to the rodeo circuit to keep food on the table. Jim Metzler plays Mason McCormick, a young man who is left to raise his younger brother. Matt Dillon plays Tex, Mason’s little brother. Tex tries hard to fit into his school and gets himself into trouble. Tex loves his horse but comes home one day to find that it has been sold. Heart-broken he runs away to the big city. He soon finds out that city life isn’t what he thought it would be. He realizes that he truly belongs back home with his brother Mason. This is a movie about what seems at first to be a dysfunctional family. Tex and his brother Mason come to realize that they are family to each other and that is what counts.
