This is further complicated by his sudden romance with the horror writer, and his ghost sightings become more and more frightening. The Eclipse was written and directed by Conor McPherson, and the original story was created by Billy Roche. The character of the widower is played by Ciarán Hinds, and the horror writer is played by Iben Hjejle. The Eclipse also features performances by Aidan Quinn and Jim Norton.

Upon moving to Britain to get away from American violence, astrophysicist David Sumner and his wife Amy are bullied and taken advantage of by the locals hired to do construction. When David finally takes a stand it escalates quickly into a bloody battle as the locals assault his house.
