"Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking your Juice in the Hood" is a parody of several U.S. films about being in the 'Hood', for instance "Boyz n the Hood", "South Central", "Menace II Society", "Higher Learning" and "Juice". We follow Ashtray as he returns to the place he grew up in and meet his father and his basket-case friends. Crazy stuff happens. For example, Ashtray is older than his father and his best friend Loc Dog's grandmother is a trigger-happy old lady who blames her eccentric-looking kid for not being tough enough.

My Blue Heaven is based on Vincent "Vinnie" Antonelli, a former mobster recently put in the Witness Protection Program, and Barney Coopersmith, an FBI agent with a watchful eye. Eventually both of their wives leave them because of their lifestyles, and Barney and Vinnie begin to realize that they have more in common than either one of them had thought. The casting for this movie is just perfect, having Steve Martin play the role of Vinnie Antonelli and having Rick Moranis play the role of Barney Coopersmith. They are great together on the big screen, and keep you laughing during the whole movie. Director Herbert Ross does a wonderful job of putting the words of Nora Ephron onto the big screen.
