Top of the Box is a British television series created by BBC Studios for Channel 5. Presented by Matthew Kelly, each episode counts down the Top 20 most viewed TV shows in the UK during a particular year – the series was billed as the "TV time machine". The programme ran for a single series of four episodes. The first episode, "1985", was broadcast on Channel 5 at 9 p.m. on 20 May 2018, while the final three episodes were broadcast at 10 p.m. the following Sundays. As well as the countdown, each episode featured punditry from guests such as Lionel Blair and Maggie Moone, and correspondence from stars of the time (such as Janet Ellis and Rustie Lee), who discussed either the comedy, entertainment, soap or children's TV shows of that year.

Living in a Fantasy is the eighth album by the English singer-songwriter Leo Sayer. It was released on August 22, 1980. Although the album was not a huge commercial success, the single that it spawned, a cover version of Bobby Vee's "More Than I Can Say", spent five weeks at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1980 and January 1981. Sayer's version of the song was certified a gold record by the RIAA. It also spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard adult contemporary chart. In the UK, the song peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart, while it spent two weeks atop the Kent Music Report in Australia. Sayer has stated that while looking for an "oldie" to record for Living in a Fantasy, he saw a TV commercial for a greatest hits compilation album by Vee, and chose the song on the spot: "We went into a record store that afternoon, bought the record and had the song recorded that night."

The Old Grey Whistle Test …
The Old Grey Whistle Test (usually abbreviated to Whistle Test or OGWT) was a British television music show. It was commissioned by David Attenborough and aired on BBC2 from 1971 to 1988. It took over the BBC2 late night slot from Disco 2, which ran between September 1970 and July 1971, while continuing to feature non-chart music. The show was devised by BBC producer Rowan Ayers. The original producer, involved in an executive capacity throughout the show's entire history, was Michael Appleton. According to presenter Bob Harris, the programme derived its name from a Tin Pan Alley phrase from years before. When they got the first pressing of a record they would play it to people they called the old greys – doormen in grey suits. Any song they could remember and whistle, having heard it just once or twice, had passed the old grey whistle test.

Top of the Pops, also known as TOTP, is a British music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1 January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The world's longest running weekly music show, TOTP was shown every Thursday evening on BBC One, except for a short period on Fridays in mid-1973, and again in autumn 1974, before once again being moved to Fridays at 7:30 pm from 1996 to 2005 and then to Sundays on BBC Two from 2005 till the last ever weekly show in 2006. Each weekly show consisted of performances from some of that week's best-selling popular music records, usually excluding any tracks moving down the chart, including a rundown of that week's singles chart. This was originally the Top 20, changing to the Top 30 during the 1970s and the Top 40 in the 80s. The distinctive TOTP theme tune – a riff of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" – first appeared in 1973 as the background music to the chart countdown.
