A family of lobstermen are reunited when the dying, compulsive lying matriarch of the family wants to stage a Remembrance Ceremony while she's still alive. Her estranged son Alex is forced to endure the week with his proctologist Uncle; his religious spouting Aunt; his 'nam flashback Vet Uncle; his Don Johnson obsessed brother; and his ex-girlfriend, a nurse who is caring for his mother. All the while Alex has to listen to his father, who wants him to become a fisherman like himself. The Wayfarers is a feature film dramady about family, love, and lobster set against the backdrop of a New England fishing village.

Never Mind the Buzzcocks is a British comedy panel game, themed on pop music, that aired between 1996 and 2015. It first starred Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes as team captains, with Hughes being replaced by Bill Bailey from the eleventh series, and Bailey replaced by Noel Fielding from series 21 onward. The show was produced by Talkback for the BBC, and usually aired on BBC Two. The title plays on the names of punk rock band Sex Pistols' Never Mind the Bollocks album, and the punk band Buzzcocks. The series was first hosted by Mark Lamarr, then by Simon Amstell, and later by a number of guest presenters, with Rhod Gilbert hosting the final series.

Seaside Special was a BBC light entertainment show broadcast from 1975. It was an outside broadcast filmed at a big top in a British seaside resort. Originally the big top belonged to various circuses (mainly Gerry Cottle's Circus), but in later seasons, the BBC bought its own to be the venue. The programme was developed by producer Michael Hurll. The series was developed after a short-lived, 6 part 'trial' aired on BBC2 in 1973, under the title Show Of The Week: The Young Generation Big Top, starring the dance troupe The Young Generation and hosted by various personalities. The series was broadcast from various Pontin's Holiday Camps around the UK under the Gerry Cottle Big Top. The first show, airing on 6 August 1973, was hosted by Clodagh Rodgers.

Top of the Pops, also known as TOTP, is a British music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1 January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The programme was shown every Thursday evening on BBC One, except for a short period on Fridays in mid-1973 before being again moved to Fridays at 7:30 pm in 1996 and then to Sundays on BBC Two in 2005. Each weekly programme consisted of performances from some of that week's best-selling popular music artists, with a rundown of that week's singles chart. Additionally, there was a special edition of the programme on Christmas Day (and usually, until 1984, a second such edition a few days after Christmas), featuring some of the best-selling singles of the year.
