Saturday Night Live (SNL) is an American late-night live television variety show created by Lorne Michaels and developed by Dick Ebersol. The show premiered on NBC on October 11, 1975, under the original title NBC's Saturday Night. The show's comedy sketches, which often parody contemporary culture and politics, are performed by a large and varying cast of repertory and newer cast members. Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest, who usually delivers the opening monologue and performs in sketches with the cast as with featured performances by a musical guest. An episode normally begins with a cold open sketch that ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!", properly beginning the show.

It peaked at No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. In Canada, it reached No. 1 on the RPM national albums chart. The album is noted for being the only project on which all four Beatles collaborated between the band's breakup in 1970 and the murder of John Lennon in 1980 (though they didn't all work on the project simultaneously at any point), and for its numerous guest stars, something which would become a signature for Starr on many of his subsequent albums and tours.

After leaving King Alfred's School in Hampstead at the age of 16 with no qualifications, she worked for a time at Tower Records and enrolled briefly in drama school, but dropped out after not liking it. She enrolled in a make up artist school and even though she managed to get her diploma, she didn't like it either. On December 30, 1994, Starkey was at her mother's bedside when she passed away. She had previously had numbness in her leg and arm, however luckily, the tumor was curable. She was transferred to a hospital in the United States to continue on with her treatments. Within three weeks she was undergoing a second operation at Brigham Women's Hospital, Boston, and this time for a tumor. She was then given radiation treatment. In 1998, she sang backup vocals on "La De Da" on Ringo's "Vertical Man." In 2001, the tumor returned and she went back for more treatments. At this time, she is in the clear. It was released in September 1970, five months after his debut solo album, Sentimental Journey. A longtime fan of the genre, Starr recorded the album over three days in Nashville with producer Pete Drake. Beaucoups of Blues failed to chart in Britain but achieved moderate commercial success in the United States, where it reached number 35 on Billboard's Country Albums list and number 65 on the Billboard Top LPs chart.

Sentimental Journey is the debut album by English rock musician and former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, released in 1970 as the band was breaking up. Starr was the third member of the group to issue a solo recording (after George Harrison and John Lennon), and Sentimental Journey is notable for being the first non-avant-garde studio album by a member of the band, compared to the experimental, soundtrack or live releases of his two bandmates. Paul McCartney's debut, McCartney, would follow three weeks after Sentimental Journey's release. Recording of the album was completed in early March 1970, with Sentimental Journey being rushed out a few weeks later to avoid clashing in the shops with the Beatles' impending final album Let It Be in May.
