Part of the series was filmed in the inner west Sydney suburb of Concord. Many external shots of Arcadia waters Council chambers used Concord Council Chambers as a setting and as was other various locations around Concord, particularly in the shopping centre and cafes in Majors Bay Road. PC was taken in by 14 year old Zac and his family who are neighbours of Susie where he creates an application that translates his barking into plain English. Zac allows PC to choose a voice with a Scottish accent and made a portable translator with a PDA and a microphone in a bow-tie so he can talk away from the computer. Anja traced him to the neighbourhood so now PC has to help Zac and Susie's daughter Samantha find the million dollars before Anja does.

In 1899, in Australia, Alice May Richards is the daughter of the horse breeder James Richards, who is the owner of the ranch Minnamurra. Alice has a crush on the wrangler Jack Donaghueand the wealthy trader Ben Creed has an unrequited love with her. James is in a bad economical situation and his despicable neighbor Allenby wishes to buy his real state, but he does not accept the offer. Meanwhile Donaghue associates to a man called Bill Thompson to convince his neighbors to give money to raise a league of horse breeders of their own. Creed uses his company to secretly help James while Alice is sent to the house of her aunt to learn good manners. Creed decides to investigate Thompson and finds that he is a con man and he warns his neighbors and Donaghue becomes his enemy; however Thompson flees with their money and Donaghue's reputation is ruined. Out of the blue, James dies and Alice returns home and learns the financial condition of her family. Alley uses his henchmen to blow-up Creed's cargo leading his company to bankruptcy and buying the mortgage of Minnamurra that belonged to Creed from the bank. Now the only chance for Alice to keep her family property is selling the horses to the British army. But she needs the help of Creed and Donaghue to take the animals to the British ship in a short time. Further, both men love her and with whom will she stay?

A Country Practice was an Australian television drama series. At its inception, one of the longest-running of its kind, producer James Davern of JNP Productions, had written the pilot episode and entered a script contest for the Ten Network in 1979. He came third and won a merit award. It ran on the Seven Network for 1,058 episodes at 7.30pm Monday and Tuesday nights from 18 November 1981 to 22 November 1993. It was produced in ATN-7's production facility at Epping, Sydney. After its lengthy run on the Seven Network, just months after its demise it was announced that the serial would be picked up by Network Ten with a mainly new cast and a few old favourites, so A Country Practice 2 debuted in April 1994, the Ten series however was not as successful as its predecessor and was abruptly cancelled in November. The Seven Network series exterior locations were filmed on location in Pitt Town, while, the Network Ten series was filmed on location in Emerald, Victoria.
