Haruhi Suzumiya does not know that she has destructive reality warping power. The three memebers tell Kyon they have been sent from different organizations to watch Haruhi Suzumiya, and stop her powers from being unleashed. Kyon has to help keep Haruhi Suzumiya thinking everything is normal.
