There's a fee for the Park and a fee for Cadillac Mt. Always take an extra jacket/coat up the Mt. It can be very cold & windier up there. So be prepared. Take snacks, lunch, water, chairs with you. F… Full review by Pauline182324
It says you need a car pass to go on the sunrise view on Cadillac Mtn., until Oct 22. We are going to be there from Oct 25 to 28th. Can we still go? Do we need a pass? Thanks

You can trust the website or wherever you got that info. We were there in May; no pass required; entry point not manned and we zoomed to the top.
Family will be driving an RV up to Acadia next month and are staying at various campgrounds. I see that not many places offer RV parking, however NPS told me that there is 1 or 2 RV parking spots at Sand Beach. Can anyone confirm? It seems like Sand beach (for little beehive hikes, etc) and the Bass Head Harbor lighthouse are the hardest to park near from an RV. Getting there early isn't an issue, but just need to know where to go? Can anyone advise? Thanks!

When we were there last week the parking lot was full as was the back up lot and cars were lined up along the roadway as far as allowed. I noticed an RV or two parked along the road where we ended up, but am not sure where the actual RV designated spots are located. I imagine they are in the primary or main lot somewhere. We didn’t get there until maybe 2 in the afternoon and agree that earlier would have better chances of best parking.
Planning a trip to Acadia in August. Need suggestions for where to fly in to, and ideas for itinerary and lodging. It’s my husband and me, we like hiking, kayaking, biking etc. Not into huge crowded areas.
