This place was really neat, loved the picture story all on the outside of the Colomn and being able to climb to the top and look out. Also Chief Comcomly’s Memorial is in the same parking lot. Full review by Richard M

Visited last month and the views were spectacular! Best views of Astoria; the bridge; mountains and the river! Once you reached the top, it’s all worth it! Full review by Q7280EFrolandr

There isn't a ton of parking, but I think there is a section of parking you could probably park in easily. I'd go early to avoid lotas of people and have a better chance of parking.

the $5 parking fee is the only fee, well worth the money for the spectacular views and a full year of visits if you plan to travel back to the area. Definitely recommend purchasing the little planes in the gift shop before heading upstairs if you have kids! I don't know how much they are as we were unaware of this before we climbed but we saw several kids having a blast with them.
How much time should I spend at the Astoria Column, including a walk to the top? I am a little short on time but want to spend enough time. thanks.
A:
30 min is about right but if you're lucky and have a great day then you'd want a little longer. I say plan for an hour. If you're in that much of a hurry then don't go. I've been there twice BTW.
