A very good site on the Wright Brothers, it contains one of their bicycle shops plus an excellent museum. It’s free, and worth a stop. There is free parking off Fourth Street though the actual buil… Full review by jjctraveler

Everything in the Dayton Area is enriched around the Wright Brothers. I would highly recommend in seeing this museum. The museum participates in the Junior Ranger Program. Restrooms were very clean. … Full review by FFEMT1619

3-4 hours. It all depends on how much walking you want to do. If you drive to everything you could possibly cut some time. It is a beautiful memorial, try to see everything.

I respectfully suggest that “Paula B” dig a lttle deeper into the Wright brothers’ history before she implies that North Carolina is the rightful birthplace of aviation. The brothers did virtually all of their aeronautical research, experimentation and documentation in Dayton, and went to North Carolina only to test their designs due to its consistent wind, soft sand, and seclusion. They drew heavily upon the diverse resources uniquely available in Dayton at that time (e.g., manufacturing, engine design, materials and packaging) and struggled with the paucity of such resources in North Carolina. While a visit to Kitty Hawk is worthwhile, visitors will get a much broader and deeper understanding of the brothers’ accomplishments by visiting the various sites in Dayton.
