Archaeological digs with public viewing of the dig sites. There’s also a paid entry museum that you can visit while you’re visiting the premises. It’s located right next to LACMA and it’s a good spot… Full review by shanellesua

This park is open and free. The main tar pit is well decorated and well documented with posters and placards explaining what you are seeing. I guess I never thought about "tar oil" being so slick and… Full review by Curthess

The fossils were cool to see but the pits were underwhelming maybe the drought is having an affect. The Lake Pit was the best of the four. The rest looked like mud holes. Full review by bookrec
