This is one of the older cemeteries I’ve visited, some of the sidewalks are over 150 years old (watch your step). Kenny Rogers was laid to rest here, he has a beautiful spot with a big monument. T… Full review by Kswett

We are tied up during the day in meetings - are we able to visit the cemetery on our own after 5:00?

Yes especially during the summer when the light is still good until almost 9

It didn't cost to get in but the tour did the tour it self was very inexpensive

Sandals or sneakers?
A:
Both are fine. It's quite hot so be prepared with water and an umbrella for some extra shade.

Hello. As a historic site, some portions of Oakland Cemetery are not wheelchair accessible due to uneven cobblestones, however much of the cemetery can be traversed in a wheelchair. Additionally, our Visitors Center and Museum Shop offers a wheelchair for guests to borrow if needed.
