We all love the time for the sun to rise and the moon to set, and we all love that time on the beach when our feet first touch the cool morning sand. Roger W. Wheeler State Beach is a great beach to catch the sunrise and it is easy to get to and easy to park. To say the least, it'll be worth waking up early for! Recently, I went to a friend's beach house rental for a night for the perfect 12 hours. This is a great beach for families and kids because the waves are small due to the the long jetties around the beach. Other great things about this beach is cleanliness. It's not uncommon to find trash, but it's a lot cleaner compared to most beaches. It's a simple beach with nothing too complicated, no boardwalk, basic facilities, and soft sand. As you look out towards the water, the sun will rise to your left as the moon fades on the right. Enjoy! P.S. Perhaps this beach can even be the start of your day before you hop on a boat to Block Island?
