One of the oldest aquariums in West Coast, the Seaside Aquarium in Oregon is a privately owned facility. It uses the saltwater of the Pacific Ocean through a pipeline to create the natural habitat of over a hundred species of aquatic animals including the Harbor Seals, Octopuses, Wolf Eels, 20-arm Sea Stars, Crabs, and the “Tsunami Fish” that washed ashore trapped inside a boat, lost during the 2011 Tsunami. Their Seals are living here for years and breeding; the babies will also entertain you along with their parents. The underwater tanks include Giant Pacific Octopus, Flatfish, Wily Octopus, Sunflower Star, Nudibranch, estuary critters, and crustaceans. You can look at the microscopic animals with microscope or put your hands in water to touch sea anemones, sea urchins, and starfishes.
