We stayed here for two nights. Gorgeous park. There was a lake/river. Our site had a view of it. When we return, we’ll try to get a site on the river. They have cabins which look like new apartments.… Full review by 928sarat

Any bears in Fort Yargo campground? We will be in a tent.
A:
We never saw or heard of any while we were there but they certainly could be there. I'd suggest calling the park to check.

Are dogs allowed?
A:
Yes. Dogs are allowed in all Georgia State Parks, except for buildings in Historic Sites.

To support the local places: O'Shuck's has great seafood and typical American food. Little Italy and Smokin' Po Boys in downtown Winder are both really good. Both Friends …

To support the local places: O'Shuck's has great seafood and typical American food. Little Italy and Smokin' Po Boys in downtown Winder are both really good. Both Friends locations are ok. Applebees is good. Ruby Tuesday always has a great salad bar.

Do you need a fishing license
A:
Technically you do, however most people I know fish without one. But no one comes around checking, at least we've never been checked.

I'm not sure.
