A beautiful nature area with lots of trails. The reason I marked it lower is we paid $5 to do the drive through bison and elk viewing area and there wasn’t even one to see. Now I understand these are… Full review by Camda

Hi Dawn K, Although not officially in the Land Between the Lakes Park, within a mile or two is Prizer's Point at Kentucky Lake and they have spots right on the water for campers. I know people that go there and like it. Google them. Also, within LBL proper is the Golden Pond Visitor's Center whose staff is very helpful and informative over the phone. Give them a call to learn more about their "in-park" campgrounds (there are a few) that would meet your on the water desires. Call (270) 924-2000. Search on-line for Land Between the Lakes (dhottcom) to learn more. Once at the site, you'll find a "Things to Do" tab. Click it. There, you will find listings of the LBL campgrounds with maps and diagrams of each campground to help you decide. A coworker pitched a tent at Energy Lake Campground last month and liked it well, was on the water, had showers, etc. I heard Piney is good too. Many choices to consider making a reservation for. As for myself, I frequent Turkey Bay's Campsite because we haul off road vehicles when we go camping which is the nature of that particular camping and activity area. Hope this helps!
