Unfortunately we did go fishing while we were there. I did see people fishing on the lake and if you visit the website, I am sure they can give you a list of species in the lake. The access to Lake superior is just across the street from the campground. Unfortunately a couple of years ago the walkway was taken out by ice and waves. There is a path down to the lake and I have seen other people kayaking there.
