Bondsville is an area and former census-designated place located in the town of Palmer in Hampden County in the western part of the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The population of the CDP was 1,876 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village was named after Emelius Bond who first secured the water rights of the Swift River in 1846 to form the Bond Village Manufacturing Company.
