Humboldt is a town in Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,311 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated communities of Humboldt and Sugar Bush are located in the town, and the unincorporated community of New Franken is partially in the town. The town of Humboldt is named after Baron Alexander von Humboldt, a German naturalist and explorer. The community name was chosen by Henry Fontaine.
