Incredible reward and so near Boulder/Denver. For locals go all the way to Blue Lake and for sea level visitors go to Mitchell Lake and see how you feel from the altitude. Rewards of streams, bridges… Full review by Rohbie

No, you cannot drive. The trailhead sign said it was 2 mi. To the lake. I haven't done that hike so you might try the alltrails website for more advice. So early in June is problematic …

Trail is open from June to October but that's weather permitted. You'll just have to check when it gets closer.sorry I could be more help.
