Bastrop State Park is a state park in Bastrop County in Central Texas. The park was established in 1938 and consists of stands of loblolly pines mixed with post oak and junipers.

Although we only went to Bastrop State Park for hiking it looked like there was a little lake as part of the park. Oh course you can always go on-line to double check. Much of the park was ruined but the fires however they have done a great job as the camping areas really looked clean and well maintained. Although I cannot give you an absolutely positive answer I think you could have a nice time fishing from the shore in the park.
This will be my first time visiting. I've read in past reviews that the lake was closed. Is there a lake available for swimming? What all is closed off as of now?
