Chatfield State Park was very nice. Our site had fhu and plenty of room for a 42 ft 5th wheel and pickup. We were close to town for shopping and restaurants. Red Rocks was amazing. Full review by Navigator01420476763

Lots of parking and spaces to put into the water. We kayaked, paddle-boarded, and picnicked on the bank. The park is also pet-friendly. Full review by familyis4ever

Clean, nice state park. Very popular destination, esp on Labor Lay weekend. Just very crowded. Great for paddle boarding or kayaking, boating as well. Full review by GreenJadeDragon
Is ther a fee for bicyclists to enter Chatfiled SP?
A:
Hopefully there is a fee for anyone entering a Colorado State Park - they need the revenue. Colorado State Parks do not get tax revenue (dumb idea) for operations - it all comes from fees.
kcbruder, I was wondering if you can tell me if there is a way to purchase the quarters needed for showering? And if so, where? Thanking you in advance, Evy

There are change machines, but they (mulitple ones) were out of order when I was there. I recommend you bring your own.
We are looking for place with good scenery to SUP during our visit in July. We’d like an area where we can spend a few hours paddling and exploring. We are staying near Denver/Littleton. Is chatfield a good option or should we look into another state park/lake?
A:
Chatfield is your best option in that area. Although parts of the park are under construction it's still a great place you visit.
